Q: What are the VinMoto Galleries & Virtual Garages?

A: The galleries are for pictures of rides, restorations, events.... A Virtual Garage is a web space for what is actually in you garage, workshop, or where ever your MC lives. Typically you'd want a picture of each MC you own, and anything else like your work bench, welder, lathe, etc. A picture of the garage is fine, and feel free to add a sub-album (nested album) of bikes you owned in the past or that cool shot of you sitting on your uncle's BSA back in the 70's.


Q: How do I get one?

First register and then send an email to your local list admin and they will create your garage and set the permissions so you can load albums and manage settings.

Q: What can I put in my Garage?

That depends how big it is and if you can convince your wife to park on the street. Seriuosly, the intent of the virtaul garage is a cyber tour of what you have in your 'meat-space' garage. The viewer should see photos of what they would see if they were visiting your garage or workshop area. The occasional temporary picture from your weekend ride is OK. Pictures from events belong in the Events section of the VinMoto Gallerys, see VMD, Garage Crawl, TrackDays, etc.


Q: Are there any Gallery tools?

For those of you that don't know, there are few tools you can download to use with the gallery. I primarily use a Mac so I don't know a lot about the Windows tools. I have used Gallery Remote, works real well if you have more than one album. And I use the iPhoto plugin, simple.
For XP user you can try this link http://springvinmoto.com/gallery/publish_xp_docs.php it will enable you to upload from Windows Explorer.

Don't forget to name you new albums before you upload your photos, it will keep them from being numbered.
